The key of master planning is design a landscape that
blended with the existing environmental and steep-slope to topography. Also, to
preserve almost 50% of existing forest and allow 10% of the rest to be a
reservoir for water circulation for the entire project which will remain
balance the future eco-forest.
Building clusters were located within close distance for
functional convenience, connection and easy maintenance. With having the
concept of energy saving as main purpose, the short distance between buildings
encourage people to walk rather than using transportation which also create a
better atmosphere of liveliness and safety. In addition, all buildings have
been designed with concern of orientation and energy saving by facing natural
wind and avoiding direct sunlight.
The master plan layout offered internal circulation within
the concept of ‘Eco-Friendly’ by separated bicycle lane and pedestrian lane
from the main traffic one. Also, adding covered walkway among each building and
providing main car park that considered as traffic center in order to alter
private cars to bicycle of electric shuttle bus.
Another concept is to encourage bonding activities among
student within the campus and with the outside community. Therefore, functional
spaces have been provided which consist of multifunction plaza and sport field
that can easily access from the outside.
The design was taking consideration of future expansion
since the campus will be constructed in phases not entirely at once. Hence, the
master plan need to be easily manage while still connected through each phases.
‘Preserved forest’ is also considered to be another main
concept of the campus. With the intention to remain as many green as possible
and achieve the aim of green campus that evolve together with nature.
